HydraLine is a flexible stainless steel braided brake hose used on trailers, caravans and campers that are fitted with hydraulic brakes. It is available in single lines or as a kit that you choose by the length of your trailer and number of axles. Genuine HydraLine contains the brand name on the braided brake line.
HydraLine was developed to Australian and International standards to take the headache and mystery out of hydraulic brake lines. It is:
- DIY install – quick and easy
- already flared to seat in an inverted flare of Hydraulic union or brake caliper
- outlasting conventional steel brake tubing
- quicker to install - about 1/5th of the time of doing conventional brake lines.
HL1800R - 1800mm HydraLine braided brake hose with 90 degree end fitting
-
Length: 1800mm braided brake hose
-

- Meets Australian Standards and International standards.
- It comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
How to fit up flexible brake lines on your camper, caravan or trailer
Fitting up the flexible brake line on your camper, caravan or trailer can be done in two ways:
- slide the flexible brake line up the box section of the trailer and pull through holes where required. This is a neater finish to the trailer and keeps it protected.
- use P-clips to fasten the Hydraline to the "i" beam, box or C section along the trailer chassis.
Lengths and fittings in flexible brake line range to fit your trailer, camper or caravan
Straight ends on lead brake lines are used for the:
- length of the trailer, from the hydraulic actuator or master cylinder to a 3-way tee hydraulic union located at the first axle
- used between axles on tandem and tri axle trailers or caravans
Right angle 90-degree fittings in go from the 3-way hydraulic tee piece to calipers and are found in the shorter lengths.
Durable hydraulic Trailer Brake Lines
Made from braided stainless steel with a hardened Teflon inner tube and stainless end fittings. The Teflon inner tube limits the chance of swelling under hydraulic pressure compared to the rubber brake hose. The flexible brake line has fewer joins than conventional brake tubing, therefore, adding to the strength and durability.
The end fittings are already flared to seat in an inverted flare of a hydraulic union attached to the brake caliper, tee piece or to a hydraulic actuator.
Fittings on Trailer Brake Calipers
All trailer brake calipers should come with their own brake line union. If you do not have a union in the brake caliper make sure you purchase:
HU4 - for Trojan, Alko, Meher, Trigg and Ark calipers
HU5-M10 - for PBR type 1 and 2 calipers
CW1 - Copper washer is required for use with both HU4 and HU5-M10
Australian Standards on flexible brake line
Hydraline meets Australian and international standards SAE1401J and USA DOT standards.
Maintenance for hydraulic brake lines
Regular maintenance including "bleeding" of hydraulic brake lines is required to ensure the life of your brake calipers, actuator, and brake lines.
